I have been wanting a Roomba forever but didn’t know anyone who had one….but Amazon was running a deal so I said what the heck…if I didn’t like it I would send it back. Well this thing ROCKS!!!! Roomba are designed with their low profile and slim diameter so that they can easily go under many pieces of furniture, and between the legs of most chairs. This model of Roomba does an excellent job of cleaning the floors. However, it is not powerful enough for my house. Although I do not have a big house (1600 sq. ft.) the roomba runs out of power before completing the cleaning of my larger rooms. I have to divide these rooms into 2 seperate areas but then it takes hours for the battery to charge. Not very practical. I will be returning this model and exchanging for a more powerful model.

The Roomba is pretty good, especially for its price! It is great for places that are hard to reach with a regular vacuum, especially under the bed. I was pleasantly surprised how much stuff it picks up. One complaint I have is that it doesn’t last long before it needs charging again. I thought it was supposed to be able to clean for about 2 hours and cover 2 rooms but mine gets tired after about 1/2 hour. I would probably think about upgrading to a newer model soon but this is a good start and it supplements a regular vacuum cleaner nicely.

This is my 2nd roomba. I decided to buy this version instead of the past one I had ($350). I did not require the “room blockers” or infared device. This works great for pets, I run this 5x a week for my 1000+ sq foot apartment and it picks up the sand, small hair, etc. Just keep filter clean and check the under belt for any strings that might jam. Good product for the price.

We have 2160 square feet of tile and hardwood in our house. The roomba is a self made sweeper. It has taken over the daily task of sweeping. It’s not a miracle worker but it definitely gives you a couple more days between deep cleaning and mopping.

Bought for clean hardwood floor. It is good enough and surpassed my expectation, just keep in mind: it is not human-being, does not expect its inteligence of a human, it is already smart enough to swipe around the house ,no complain at all. Some people complains about the qualuty, but image this small machine did a heavy work, if runs for year, only cost $10/per month, do not be too greedy. And it is not used to clean large objects, clean unnoticable dust and dirty is its goal. Why expect a cat could catch a wolf, that does not make sense, right place, right usage, this is the key point.

I was very reluctant to buy this Roomba Scheduler because I already have an Oreck for my main vacuum. The reason why I bought this was for my dogs. I have a German Shepard mix and a Lab mix and they leave piles of hair everywhere! Everyday I would have to sweep with a swiffer once in the morning and once before I go to sleep. With the Roomba, I just schedule it to sweep in the morning when I wake up and IT IS GREAT! I don’t have to sweep anymore, and I just love watching it go. The most work I have to do is empty the bin out every night because there’s so much dog hair.

This is far,far better than I thought it could be. We have 3 cats and a husband who tracks crumbs everywhere. This thing is worth it just for picking up the cat hair under the beds and under the futon. We live in a small house and it is very difficult to get under the beds with a regular vacuum.
I am a vacuum freak and have about 5 different vacuums. I used to have to use a different one for the hard wood floors and the area rugs. Now , I just let the roomba take care of it all. You are still going to have to vacuum in the corners and the very small areas. (These to be done much less often.) The good thing is also , it forces me to pick up ALL things off of the floor. I only wish I could use it on the furniture and on the walls!!

Schedule it to Clean When You Are Away

With the included Scheduler, you can program up to seven different times every week when the iRobot Roomba 610 will come out to clean. At those times, the Roomba will power on, leave its docking station and clean the area it is in until the job is done, or the battery is running low.

Three Cleaning Modes

Our home is 3,000 sq feet, single story. I have a newly crawling baby and 3 other children a toddler and two children under 8. We also have one pet, a cat. So normally I would have to run the vacuum by hand after each meal. However, with the Roomba I have not had a need to do that. I have her run after dinner each evening in our dining area. Perfect! She picks up whatever the kids leave behind. Each morning I have her clean the family room, school room and game room. Once a week she does the bedrooms.
I had concerns that because of my children liking to leave things behind, toys, books, etc. We’d not be able to use the Roomba. But each evening after dinner we do what we call “Roomba clean” so that she can do her job without running into landminds of books or toys. The house looks amazing and the carpet and hard floors look so nice after she has done her job.
I am amazed at what the Roomba picks up. And boy does she go for awhile without having to be emptied.
The spot clean feature is great for small areas. Love that and use it often!…

I bought this vacuum three weeks ago. I have only had to break out the big vacuum once in that time. With three dogs in the house, vacuuming was a daily necessity. Programing the 560 took less than a minute. It runs at night while we sleep and cleans three large rooms. Once room is tile with three large wool area rugs and lots of furniture. It gets under the tables and around bar stools with no problems. The light houses keep it in one room for about 35-40 minutes then move it on to the next. I have to admit that I was a skeptic when it came to these products. Now I am completely sold on them. A second unit upstairs keeps all the carpets free of hair. I can’t think of a better gift for parents or newly weds.

Do you have pets? Do you hate spending the time to vacuum? Then you definitely want to look into purchasing an iRobot Roomba 532. This model is made special for someone with pets to help cleaning. If you don’t know, an iRobot Roomba 532 is the vacuum that cleans itself! You have to sit it in the charging deck and then you just turn it on and let it run! Once it is done, it will even return itself to the charging dock. How amazing is that? It has safety measures to keep your pet safe if it does get close to it.

This one is amazing! It can hold a ton of dirt and pet hair. It can even pick up kitty litter if you have a cat that isn’t always careful when using the box. It also has special technology so that it doesn’t get tangled up. This keeps it out of all your cords so that you don’t have to pick them up before starting it. I was amazed that I could just turn this little bad boy on and watch it go. You can even turn it on and then leave the house. When you get home, your pet hair is all cleaned up.

The iRobot Roomba 532 makes a great present. Just imagine how excited your significant other would be to not have to do the vacuuming anymore. I know that I was very excited when I received it. I am very excited about this product and would recommend it to anyone!

I received my Pet Roomba before Christmas and have been using it since. My house is a real test with 3 very long haired dogs inside most of the day. I run the Roomba every day to keep the hair down to a minimum and we’ve noticed the floors are much cleaner (even though I used to vacuum alot). However, if you buy this you should know that it requires frequent cleaning of the brushes, particularly the axle area where hair gets easily wrapped (pull off the end cap over the axle). By frequent I mean once or twice during the cleaning cycle. Otherwise, the brushes just stop moving leaving you with a cute robot that just drives around chasing the dogs! So this means you really should only run it when you are at home to keep it clean. I also have already cleaned the front wheel (just pops off – was really full of hair) and the side brush (unscrew the screw). Bottom line, the unit works great so long as it is kept really clean. I’ve got the cleaning down to a minute so it isn’t too big of a deal. But if you think you are just going to run the Roomba and empty the dirt bin once in awhile, you should probably not buy it.

…It picks up SO MUCH CRAP I HAD NO IDEA WAS ON THE FLOOR! I’ve been running it every day for weeks and it still picks up tons of my hair, cat hair and dust. Really does a nice job of vacuuming. Maybe its less strong than a Kirby but since you don’t have to do any work its so easy to just push the button and let it work everyday. In the end I would say that running this everday is equivalent to using a real vacuum once or twice a week. So unless you’re SUPER DUPER anal and vacuum yourself everyday and can’t stand a spec of dust on the floor – this is for you!…

Awesome. This new generation fixes all the problems of the previous. Much smarter, much bigger dust bin, much better in every way. Great that it self-docks when tired. Maintanence is a snap…really could not be easier/faster. There are some negatives – how could there not be? – but this thing has such a contagious personality that it starts feeling like your pet, and you’re inclined to forgive, and even find the faults charming…

I received my Roomba 530 as a birthday gift and have been very impressed so far. My apartment was quite messy when I turned Roomba loose for the first time. I was astonished by how much dirt it picked up (I had to run it several times, emptying the dirt bin each time). It didn’t get stuck on my carpet fringe (the reason I hadn’t bought the prior generation Roomba), nor on any of the wires under furniture. The fact that it cleans under the bed and sofa so thoroughly is a big advantage over conventional cleaners…
