Question by oldknowitall: How do you like your robot vacuum cleaner?
I’m thinking of getting one for my house and would like to have some opinions expressed about how satisfied you are as well as the make and model you have.

I have a 4 year old Roomba Discovery and I love it. It goes under beds and furniture and it is very quiet. The only problem is that the innards get clogged up with dust and carpet fibres and it stops working. The best thing to do for this is to clean the inside with a can of Air Duster.
The first time it quit, I took it apart and cleaned it out manually, but it’s much faster to just stick the straw inside and give it a spray.

They only do surface cleaning. Not deep down.
The compartment needs to be empty often.
The battery lasts about a year, and they are very expensive to replace.
I have owned one, but don’t use it anymore because the batteries are too expensive.
