If you’re looking to buy a new robotic floor cleaner then you’re probably better off staying away from the iTouchless Robotic. Why? Well, it only gets a score of 1.5 out of 5 stars. However, this is only from two customer reviews on Amazon, but the fact that only two people have bothered to rate it should indicate that it’s not a very popular floor cleaner.

On the plus side, it is quiet, it works smoothly, and it has a good quality cleaning brush. However, it does have a small collection bin which needs to be emptied every time you use it, it’s difficult to clean, and it doesn’t work on carpets.

Our advice? Take a look at the iRobot 500 Series, it’s much better.

As a former Roomba owner I had high hopes for the iTouchless. However, it did not live up to my expectations.

The good points. The iTouchless is quieter than the Roomba and doesn’t bang into walls and furniture with the same zest the Roomba does. The brush is a lot fuller and better quality than the one in the Roomba Discovery. Compared to other robotic vacuums, this is priced just right.

Now for the bad. The collection bin is small and has to be emptied with every use. The brushes and roller bar do not snap out like the Roomba. The iTouchless requires you to use a screwdriver to open this area up to clean the brushes. The device has a raised area on top that works like a handle which makes it great for picking it up. On the negative side though it increases the vertical height of the unit causing it to get hung up under cabinets a lot more often than the Roomba. Lastly, it wouldn’t budge on my carpet, which is a frisee, so I can’t say for sure if it would work on a low profile rug or not.

Do NOT buy this if you have CARPETS!!!

This is the worst vacuum I have every used!!! If you have linoleum, hardwood or tiles, no problem. But if you have any carpets or rugs, do not waste you time or money! It also cannot handle going over any edges, like rugs or the bottom of door frames. I cannot begin to say how disappointed I am b/c I have used the Roomba & loved it! But the iTouchless is not even worth mentioning in the same sentence.

Maybe you have heard of small robots being used in homes to sweep up the floor while everyone is gone. But did you know there is a little robot that will mop you floors too? The “iRobot Scooba 350’ sweeps and mops. This little robot can mop an average of 1 to 3 normal size bead rooms (about 500 square feet) in close to one battery period.

This robot helps to save time and get rid of bacteria on your floor? The manufactures of the “iRobot Scooba 350” state that this little guy removes 98% of the bacteria as it is cleaning the floor. It can clean linoleum, tile, and sealed hard wood floors. Interestingly the “iRobot Scooba 350” does four things as it rolls across your floor. It first has a set of sweeping equipment that sweeps up all grit and crumbs. Then it puts down some water and moping solution to loosen up the grime. This is followed by some little scrubbing feet that even get down into the small grooves in the floor. The final step is it squeegees up the scummy water. Many users are very satisfied with how clean the “iRobot Scooba 350” gets there floors. This cleaning system seems to work very well.

Another nice feature, and interesting to watch, is the infrared sensors that keep the “iRobot” from running into things or falling down stairs. This infrared system prevents it from damaging itself but still allows it to get right next to chair and table legs. Many also appreciate the fact that they do not have to move their furniture around. The “iRobot” just rolls right underneath most furniture, cleaning as it goes.

Overall, most people who own a “iRobot Scooba 350” are very happy with the time they get back and how clean this little worker get’s their floors.

I actually own the 380 model. I consider my floor clean only if I was on my hands and knees cleaning the floor. With four boys it is a everyday affair and I always do not have the time or energy to scrub my floors.

I put the scooba to a test after a day of spilled tea and sugar on the floor along with the muddy footprints. I swept the floor and set it loose. It cleaned up everything, even the areas that I missed from the broom. The only areas the scooba does not clean are corners, but it will free up your time to clean other areas in the house.

This is a great concept, but did not work for my floors. Product is not safe for laminate wood flooring, which is what I turned out to have. Also, my tile floors are white with deep white grout lines, and the dirty water tended to pool in the grout lines. However, I could see this being a great product for other types of hardwood and tile/linoleum floors – just not a great fit in my case.

I wish I’d gotten my Scooba 350 sooner. Living with a 35kg/77lb Old English Sheepdog puppy who hasn’t learned to lift his leg up when peeing, I’d developed thick callouses on my palms from mopping. So the Scooba is heaven sent! My floors are now cleaner than they’ve ever been.

My unit had an initial snag after the first overnight charge – it stopped after less than 10 minutes despite the indication of being fully charged when it started. That was thankfully, a one-off incident – I haven’t stopped using it since. Although it charges fairly quickly, I wish it could do more rooms on one charge. Otherwise, it’s fabulous in keeping the house clean and letting me spend more time with my puppy. I can’t stop telling all my friends and family about Scooba!

This model of Roomba does an excellent job of cleaning the floors. However, it is not powerful enough for my house. Although I do not have a big house (1600 sq. ft.) the roomba runs out of power before completing the cleaning of my larger rooms. I have to divide these rooms into 2 seperate areas but then it takes hours for the battery to charge. Not very practical. I will be returning this model and exchanging for a more powerful model.

The Roomba is pretty good, especially for its price! It is great for places that are hard to reach with a regular vacuum, especially under the bed. I was pleasantly surprised how much stuff it picks up. One complaint I have is that it doesn’t last long before it needs charging again. I thought it was supposed to be able to clean for about 2 hours and cover 2 rooms but mine gets tired after about 1/2 hour. I would probably think about upgrading to a newer model soon but this is a good start and it supplements a regular vacuum cleaner nicely.

This is my 2nd roomba. I decided to buy this version instead of the past one I had ($350). I did not require the “room blockers” or infared device. This works great for pets, I run this 5x a week for my 1000+ sq foot apartment and it picks up the sand, small hair, etc. Just keep filter clean and check the under belt for any strings that might jam. Good product for the price.

We have 2160 square feet of tile and hardwood in our house. The roomba is a self made sweeper. It has taken over the daily task of sweeping. It’s not a miracle worker but it definitely gives you a couple more days between deep cleaning and mopping.

Bought for clean hardwood floor. It is good enough and surpassed my expectation, just keep in mind: it is not human-being, does not expect its inteligence of a human, it is already smart enough to swipe around the house ,no complain at all. Some people complains about the qualuty, but image this small machine did a heavy work, if runs for year, only cost $10/per month, do not be too greedy. And it is not used to clean large objects, clean unnoticable dust and dirty is its goal. Why expect a cat could catch a wolf, that does not make sense, right place, right usage, this is the key point.

I was very reluctant to buy this Roomba Scheduler because I already have an Oreck for my main vacuum. The reason why I bought this was for my dogs. I have a German Shepard mix and a Lab mix and they leave piles of hair everywhere! Everyday I would have to sweep with a swiffer once in the morning and once before I go to sleep. With the Roomba, I just schedule it to sweep in the morning when I wake up and IT IS GREAT! I don’t have to sweep anymore, and I just love watching it go. The most work I have to do is empty the bin out every night because there’s so much dog hair.

This is far,far better than I thought it could be. We have 3 cats and a husband who tracks crumbs everywhere. This thing is worth it just for picking up the cat hair under the beds and under the futon. We live in a small house and it is very difficult to get under the beds with a regular vacuum.
I am a vacuum freak and have about 5 different vacuums. I used to have to use a different one for the hard wood floors and the area rugs. Now , I just let the roomba take care of it all. You are still going to have to vacuum in the corners and the very small areas. (These to be done much less often.) The good thing is also , it forces me to pick up ALL things off of the floor. I only wish I could use it on the furniture and on the walls!!

Schedule it to Clean When You Are Away

With the included Scheduler, you can program up to seven different times every week when the iRobot Roomba 610 will come out to clean. At those times, the Roomba will power on, leave its docking station and clean the area it is in until the job is done, or the battery is running low.

Three Cleaning Modes

The iRobot Roomba 610 features three different cleaning modes. The Clean mode is most often used in average sized rooms. In this mode, Roomba will run until the room is clean, or the battery is almost depleted. The Max mode will keep the Roomba running until the battery is almost depleted. This is most often used with larger areas or open floor plans. Finally, the Spot mode is used to clean a small area, up to three feet in diameter. Roomba will focus on that spot by running in ever-increasing circles. Roomba will also go into Spot mode on its own if it detects a particularly dirty area on the floor. Once it determines that the area is clean it will move on with its pattern.

The Roomba 610 Professional is simply superb. Roomba represents a very effective, fascinating and sophisticated technology. Our home has NEVER had floors so clean. It doesn’t get any better than this. I know Consumer Reports didn’t think much of the Roomba in their last report. But I don’t think they have tested the recent models with the new software and operational improvements. Once you get used to how she works and you start using her correctly, things run very smoothly…

Our home is 3,000 sq feet, single story. I have a newly crawling baby and 3 other children a toddler and two children under 8. We also have one pet, a cat. So normally I would have to run the vacuum by hand after each meal. However, with the Roomba I have not had a need to do that. I have her run after dinner each evening in our dining area. Perfect! She picks up whatever the kids leave behind. Each morning I have her clean the family room, school room and game room. Once a week she does the bedrooms.
I had concerns that because of my children liking to leave things behind, toys, books, etc. We’d not be able to use the Roomba. But each evening after dinner we do what we call “Roomba clean” so that she can do her job without running into landminds of books or toys. The house looks amazing and the carpet and hard floors look so nice after she has done her job.
I am amazed at what the Roomba picks up. And boy does she go for awhile without having to be emptied.
The spot clean feature is great for small areas. Love that and use it often!…
